Bonnie Gregory is a mechanical engineer, construction expert, and the founding partner of Gregory Enterprises, a licensed engineering and construction firm she established in North Carolina in 1994. She holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Technology from Northeastern University, having graduated as valedictorian in both programs.  

Key Accomplishments & Professional Experience

  • Gregory has conducted over 25,000 home inspections and frequently serves as a consulting expert witness in forensic engineering, premises safety, and construction defect identification.  

  • She leads five distinct divisions under Gregory Enterprises: forensic engineering, educational services, IRBpro Software development, Radon Pro Monitors manufacturing, and Inspector Nation—a national professional organization she founded for building professionals.  

  • As a prominent industry educator and curriculum author for the North Carolina Home Inspector Licensure Board (NCHILB), she provides update and licensing education to over 85% of all North Carolina home inspectors.  


  • Her early engineering career includes designing operation manuals for high-pressure industrial equipment at Scholl America, and interning at Rockwell International where she worked on thermal insulation design and analysis for the NASA Space Shuttle.
